Welcome to IYAMW
We fulfill the educational goals of BKS Iyengar in the Midwest by organizing annual retreats, awarding scholarships, and funding community grants to allow all, regardless of means or situation, to study Iyengar Yoga.
2026 IYAMW Members Meeting
Sunday, February 15th from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. ET
This year, IYAMW awarded 11 scholarships to support members' attendance at this year's national convention with Abhijata Iyengar in Philadelphia! Currently, IYAMW has a small but mighty group of board members. As many of you know, being on the board is a volunteer position. Most of the work we do is fundraising, providing financial aid, promoting regional events, and hosting events of our own.
This being said, we recognize the challenges and shifts to Iyengar Yoga affiliations - regional and national associations. Most certainly, the cultural shift in our country post-pandemic, as well as generational shifts in Iyengar Yoga, have impacted studios/teachers tremendously. In order to face these shifts and potential challenges with grace, we invite all IYAMW members to unite in conversation to discuss these major shifts currently and in the foreseeable future.

We hope to come together and discuss via an open platform challenges you are now facing, positive experiences of 2025, and what we wish to cultivate for 2026 and the years ahead. How to check if you’re a member
Log into IYNAUS: iynaus.org.
Go to ‘My Page’ from the top navigation.
Look for your regional association. If it’s set as “Midwest - IYAMW”, then you’re a member.
