Scholarships & Grants

IYAMW supports those who seek to teach or learn yoga.

IYAMW provides support to members to help them attend annual retreats, IYNAUS conventions, and yoga workshops.

IYAMW assists in the development of community engagement programs in communities where Iyengar yoga is not currently available, accessible, or affordable.

Body Thy Shrine: Iyengar Detroit's Wellness Zine

Using funds provided through an IYAMW Community Grant, Iyengar Yoga Detroit Collective produced two issues of our community wellness zine, Body Thy Shrine, in 2021.

Rebates

In keeping with our mission to facilitate and support an inclusive and cohesive community of Iyengar yoga practitioners, IYAMW is offering members a $30 rebate. We hope this program will help make the benefits of IYAMW and IYNAUS membership available to more students within the region.

For members that choose to forgo their rebate, those funds will be directly used to sustain and build scholarship, grant, and outreach programs. These programs are the backbone of our organization, as we strive to fulfill the educational goals of Mr. Iyengar and help all, regardless of means or situation, to study Iyengar Yoga.
